For some reason we have yet to figure out the custom installer doesn't work with Windows 8 (no surprise here).  Download the installer from here.  You will then need to modify a couple of settings:

Remote Server URL = https://centraltexasbackup.net:3443

By default the backup client will select documents, pictures, music, and your desktop to backup.  Add other folders you may want to backup.  Do NOT add system folders since they won't do you any good.

Click on the advance tab and de-select delete files, enable backup locked files.

Select More and decide if you want any of those options. Screenshots for a typical setup can be found over there
